Karon Farm Coffee is a coffee roastery founded in Victoria, Australia, a multiple award-winning roastery known for its coffee blends. Here in Malaysia, we have worked together with the founder of Karon Farm Coffee, Luke McPherson, to setup a roastery in Johor to bring the award-winning coffee blends to you!
Our Journey Into the Coffee Business
Many things can lead one in to the coffee business but for us, it all started with signing up for a coffee class. After gaining some interest in coffee, our roaster was introduced to Luke through a family friend. Luke has been a great mentor throughout our journey with coffee. We wanted to share his award-winning blends with coffee lovers in Malaysia. With Luke’s expertise and mentoring, he helped us achieve that.
It’s never easy in the beginning. How do we provide freshly roasted coffee beans? Importing roasted coffee beans wasn’t an option for us because the quality of roasted coffee beans deteriorates fast. The only way to do it is to roast it freshly in Malaysia. Replicating roasts has been a challenge for us. Different roasting machines may have different heating elements, airflow system and temperature control mechanisms, which can affect the roasting process and the flavour profile of the coffee. It takes a lot of practice to make the necessary adjustments for us to achieve the desired flavour profile. In short, we’ve had lot of trial and errors to make the award-winning blend right!

We would like to introduce our Mount Buninyong blend to you. It is one of the best sellers in Australia and has won multiple awards. It is a blend of beans from Colombia and Brazil offered in both medium dark and dark roasts here in Malaysia. You might taste chocolate, berries and stewed fruit in them!
We are also planning to introduce more of our award-winning blends to coffee lovers in Malaysia in the near future. It includes blends such as Morning Habit, another best-selling coffee blend, and Lal Lal Falls, which suits black coffee lovers.
Our coffee have impressed quite a few judges, who have handed us some pretty prestigious medals along the way. We hope it impresses you just as much.
